Riverside Rangers is designed for young people, ages 8-12 years, to explore many different aspects of nature through science and art. Each month we will delve into a different theme: plants, insects, birds, soil, weather, animals, & fossils are a few of the topics.

January 25: Let's Explore (Learn about being a naturalist and honing the necessary observational skills)
February 22: Birding Buddies! (Basic bird identification and tools)
March 22: Scat & Tracks! (Learn to identify critter clues and evidence)
April 26: Nature Apps & the City Nature Challenge (online apps and citizen science)
May 24: Get Planted! (Basic plant identification, native vs invasive and sampling techniques)
June 28: Wild Life! (A look at local mammals and wildlife biology)
