Freshwater mussels are an indicator species of river health and water quality. The Guadalupe River is home to three rare native species. Sara Thompson, Aquatic Biologist, San Antonio River Authority, will share her involvement with the first ever reintroduction of mussels into Mission Reach and the importance of habitat recovery for our local mussels.
